I'm glad that everything went well and Chris Hadfield (as well as two other astronauts that returned with him) is back on the surface of the planet. I think it comes as no surprise that I've been observing with interest his eagerness to stay connected with the wider audience through various social media and am
very supportive of his attempts to make us all enthusiastic about something... well... super-exciting!
I think what I like the most about Commander Hadfield is that not only he embodies our best qualities (with all his diligent work, passion and cordiality), but also that his successes - the fact that he was able to go on International Space Station in the first place and stay connected with us - represents the success of humanity as a whole.
Sure we're not perfect and there are a lot of issues we have to resolve - but if about 2 centuries of intense scientific inquiry, political and social changes made us become more aware of our surroundings and connected with one another and helped us achieve as incredible feats as this, think what we're capable of achieving in the long run, if only we overcome our worst tendencies and work together for the benefit of us all, so we could share our enthusiasm for life and appetite for more with the universe that bore us and take proper care of this beautiful planet

And with that optimistic accent, it's time for me to go back to the dungeon and try and finally organize my terribly convoluted schedule XD;;;
