asked me once to design a tatoo for her character - and it took me a considerable amount of time to think and finally draw it, eh... Bless =mornmeril for her patience!
From the beginning I knew that wings should be spread and that the rose should be raven's 'heart'. It's definitely the best, stylized rose I've ever drawn - simply because I rarely draw such things Also its thorny stem allowed me to smuggle a bit of knot-work to this piece. It suggests that there are actually two roses. One is at the front one at raven's back. Duality? To sided-shield?? Spell?
As far as I know Mori has big scars on her chest and back, caused by some sort of vicious spell. I may have gone too far with my speculations, but for me this information was significant and I guessed that it could also be symbolized like this.
I didn't make raven's tail or body detailed, because it would provide to much chaos. Also I didn't make it as symmetrical as its wings or stem because this bird holds his head on one side - for me that kind of asymmetry gives this design a bit of life. What's is your opinion?
The greatest fun for me was making those dots and around. Is it an aura of magic? Or the waves of energy? Answer yourself or better - go read =mornmeril's stories ^_^
One more thing - PLEASE, don't ask me if this design can be used as any sort of decoration for you/your band/forum/site/etc., because the answer will always be NO. The only thing I can allow you is when you'd like to have such tattoo on your body, but that's the only exception!

I used this a year ago as a base for my first tattoo and I love it and would like to thank you so much! I couldn't be happier with it still today, it is a beautiful design - I put a photo up if you would like to see [link]
